About Composition

Diclofenac Diethylamine:

diclofenac is phenyl acetic acid derivative and non -steroidal anti -inflammatory drug Diclofenac inhibit cox -1 and cox-2 enzyme and prevents the synthesis of prostaglandins

Linseed oil:

Linseed oil is known by name flaxseed oil. It is rich in ALA which helps reduction of joint of inflammation

Methyl salicylate:

It is the methyl ester of the salicylic acid. It is topically used to provide relief against joint pain caused strains, sprains and arthritis. Methyl salicylate is known as counter irritant.

Menthol:

menthol provides cooling sensation and act as counter irritant. It acts as the activator of the transient receptor potential melastatin compound.

Benzyl Alcohol:

Benzyl alcohol has local anaesthetic activity and relieves the superficial skin pain and also has preservative action.

Mechanism of action

Methyl salicylate:

it works by causing the skin to feel cool and warm this helps in reducing pain of joints, muscles and tendons

Menthol:

it works by imparting the cooling effect by activating nociceptors and desensitize that receptors and reduces pain

Linseed oil:

flaxseed oil is the source of the polyunsaturated fatty acids. It contains alpha- linolenic acid that decreases the inflammation so therefore it is useful in the rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory diseases.

Contraindications

  • Contraindicated in people with known allergy
  • Contraindicated in people with increase chances of bleeding
